OBITUARY NOTICE
PAUL RAYMOND WILCOX
Paul Raymond Wilcox, 83, formerly of Red Wing, died at his residence in St. Paul Sunday.He was born January 25, 1924 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the son of T.R. and Leah (Miley) Wilcox. He was schooled in Red Wing, graduating from Red Wing Central High School. He was a member of the High School band for 9 years. He served in the U. S. Navy during WW II, September 2, 1943 through March 24, 1946. He moved to Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota. He married Lorraine Isabel Mix in Red Wing. He worked in the Twin Cities as a Mechanical Engineer, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed flying and building planes and woodworking. He was a member of the Seaplane Association, Experimental Aircraft Association and the Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors include two sons: Thomas and Jay (Carol) Wilcox, all of St. Paul; four grandchildren; two brothers, E. Dean Wilcox of Rochester and Glen Wilcox of Fairbanks, AK; one sister, Janice Bradley of Indianapolis, IN; nieces and nephews; lifetime friends, Lorraine Wilcox of St. Paul and G. Elaine Wilcox of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be 10 a. m. Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church with Father Charles Uhlik officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel is handling arrangements.
