Paul Richard Jagusch

Paul Richard Jagusch, 82, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born August 28, 1938 in Red Wing to Emil and Ferol (Bernicke) Jagusch. He grew up in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing Central High School. Because they both shared a love for polka, Paul met his wife, Pauline Friese at a dance. The couple was married at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church in Zumbrota on August 19, 1961. Together they raised three sons. He spent 8 years serving in the National Guard. He spent more than 53 years working various automotive jobs with the Chrysler dealerships in town. He retired in 2013. Paul was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He loved motorcycles, racing, hunting and fishing but most of all, his family and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline of Red Wing; sons, Dan (Elisa) of Oakdale, David of Oronoco, and Dustin (Jill) of Centuria, Wisc.; Six grandchildren, Steven, Andrew, Tyler, Chloe, Mallory and Caleb; one sister, Mary (Vern) Steele; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alexis; nephew, Doug Steele; and his parents.

A visitation will be 9 – 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Wing. Masks and social distancing are required. A private family service will be held. A live stream of the service will be available on the church’s Facebook page. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery.
