**SERVICE INFORMATION UPDATE**  Visitation for Paul will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 7 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing.  A PRIVATE service will be held Saturday.  You can livestream the service on the Mahn Family Funeral Home Facebook page starting at 11 a.m. or listen to it broadcast from the Eidsvold Lutheran Church parking lot on 93.1 FM.  Interment will follow at Esdaile Cemetery.  Masks and social distancing will be required at all the events.

Paul Emery Brostrom, age 73, of Esdaile, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.  He was born December 9, 1947 in Red Wing to Ernest and Esther (Emery) Brostrom.  He grew up in Roseville where he was active at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.  He graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1965 and attended Ely Junior College.  On November 30, 1968 he married Karen Hoffman at Sabylund Lutheran Church.  They moved several times until settling in the Esdaile area.  He worked at Central Research Laboratories for 30 years where he started as a machinist and later on as a purchasing coordinator.  Paul was active in the Eidsvold Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, boating, meticulously maintaining his lawn and tinkering in the garage.

He is survived by his wife, Karen of Esdaile; son, Aaron Brostrom of Spring Valley, WI; daughter, Rachel (Matthias) Wollnik of Edina; and two granddaughters, Lucy and Stella.  He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Esther.
