Patrick J. Anderson

Patrick Jon Anderson, 48, of Red Wing, died September 19, 2014 at his home. He was born April 26, 1966 in Red Wing to Michael and Linda Anderson. He attended school in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing High School. After graduation he went to work for the family business, Midway Auto Leasing. He moved, for a short time, to Steamboat Springs, Colo. but he soon returned to Red Wing and Midway Auto. On November 12, 1988 he married Betty Jane Bechel at First Lutheran Church in Red Wing. The couple later divorced. Pat was a talented hill climber who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was often found out on the lake. He loved anything with a motor, especially motorcycles and Corvettes. Most of all, Pat enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his three children, Jordan (Shauna) Anderson of Byron Minn., Cassidy Anderson and Nathan Anderson both of Red Wing; one grandson, Ethan; special friend, Lori Stein of Red Wing and her children, Justin and Jacob; parents, Michael and Linda Anderson of Red Wing; one brother, Dan (Lori) Anderson of Red Wing; one sister, Stephanie (Brian) Praschak of Trego, Wisc.; former wife, Betty Bechel; five nieces and nephews; Cole, Kristian, Kelseè, Michael and Kayla; as well as many cousins, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Norman and Irene Anderson; maternal grandparents, Maynard and Margaret Scharpen; best friend, Pat Linder; and beloved dogs, King and Smokey.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2014 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Charles D. Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the service at church.
