Patricia Ruth Vavra

Patricia Ruth Vavra, 82, of Lake City, passed away Thursday, February 17th at the Lake City Medical Center. Patricia was born September 8, 1928 in St Paul to George and Kristina (Holicky) Crawley. She grew up in St Paul, started working for a telephone company as a switch board operator. She married Fred Vavra, Jr. on April 8, 1947 in St Paul. They lived in St Paul until 2003 when they moved to Lake City. They enjoyed fishing and camping. They loved spending time up in Lindstrom.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 64 years, Fred of Lake City; Daughter Sharyn (Adolph) Zanto of Lake City, Grandchildren Randall Zanto of Lake City, Gordon (Christina) Zanto of Wabasha, Keith (Dori) Zanto, St. Charles; Great Grandchildren Madison and Zackary Zanto; Sister, Beverly Tweedale of Bozeman, MT.
She was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson, Taylor Michael Zanto.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery with Reverend Darren Paulson Officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Online Condolences can be sent at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
