Patricia Gail (Harmon) Swanson

Patricia Gail (Harmon) Swanson was born February 4th, 1933, in Williston, ND. To Wilbur and Ethel (Larson) Harmon. She later moved from Williston to Minot North Dakota where she graduated high school in 1952. In the summer of 1953, she moved to Minneapolis where she met Paul Swanson. On June 19, 1954, they were married. They had four children Steve, Nancy, William (Billy) and Roger.

In the fall of 1970, they moved to Red Wing. She worked at the Red Wing Nursing home and then at the Seminary Home as an activity aid for 23 years.  She enjoyed spending time camping, weekend traveling trips, crafts and making cards.

Her biggest joy in her life was her family. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren (with an additional one on the way due in November). Her greatest love of her life was Paul.

She is survived by her son Steve (Eileen), Nancy Paasch, Roger, 6 grandchildren, Stacy, Terry, Chris, Karrie, Brian and Nick, and 8 great grandchildren – Rylie, Payton, Brayden, Isiah, Edyn, Reese, Riley and Lincoln, and many nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Paul, parents, Wilbur and Ethel (Larson) Harmon, her sister Beverly Sue Mosby, an infant son William (Billy), and her son-in-law Bruce Paasch.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at First Lutheran Church in Red Wing with Rev. Mike Zaske officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the service at church.
