Patricia Ann Riegelman

July 20, 1936 — October 21, 2007

Patricia Ann Riegelman, age 71, of Red Wing, died Sunday, October 21, 2007, at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. She was born on July 20, 1936, in Winona, to Paul and Sophia (Breza) Riedell. She was a 1954 graduate of Red Wing Central High School and attended the University of Minnesota. On November 12, 1955, she married Gordon Riegelman in Red Wing. She worked at Riedell Shoes in human resources and served as president of the company for several years. She retired in 1984. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Board of Trustees for St. John's Hospital and the Red Wing Booster Club. She enjoyed being on the river, reading, spending time with family, following sporting events and attending art and craft fairs. She also enjoyed doing word search puzzles and dancing. She was a resident of Fairview Seminary Home for the past two years.
Survivors include five children, Bob (Cherie) Riegelman, Scott Riegelman and Dan (Barb) Riegelman of Red Wing; Paul (Vicki) Riegelman of Bay City, and Kim (Darrell) Mattson of Red Wing; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gordon.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Kristin Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jed, Clint, Parker, Aaron, Jesse, Cameron and Spencer Riegelman, Benjamin and Zachary Johnson. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the time of services Thursday at the church. Memorials are preferred to Red Wing Hospice.
