Patricia Ann Possehl, 85, of Frontenac, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at the Bluffs in Lake City. She was born April 25, 1935, in Lake City to Herman and Agnes (Schlundt) Tushaus and attended schools in Lake City. On July 30, 1952, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Possehl in El Paso, Texas, where they lived for a short time while he was stationed in the Air Force. After he was discharged, they returned to Frontenac, where they made their home and raised their 8 children. Patricia enjoyed being a homemaker while the children were young and kept busy around the home—cooking, cleaning, doing hair and baking; she made some of the best homemade breads, coffee cakes and caramel rolls. As her children became older, she began working for Braschler’s Bakery and had managed the Lake City store for a time, before returning to the Red Wing store, where she worked until her retirement. Pat had been on a bowling league and was fortunate to bowl a perfect “300” game. She loved entertaining for family and holding reunions and always enjoyed a game of cards. She was especially fond of babies, even until the final stages of her life, she was always delighted by them.
She is survived by 4 children, Barry of Rochester, Kim of Owatonna, Rhonda (Doug) Humphrey of Mesa, AZ and Dan (Lisa) Possehl of Frontenac; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and 4 siblings, Margaret Tushaus, Donna Stock, Mary Agnes Shaughnessy and Bud Tushaus. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007; 4 sons, Richard, Tony, Tom and David Possehl and 5 siblings.
A memorial service for Pat will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake City sometime next year. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
