Patricia "Pat" Olson

Patricia T. "Pat" Olson, 83 years old, passed away on February 13, 2016, at Deer Crest Assisted Living, in Red Wing, Minnesota. She was born on October 27, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska to Floyd and Marilyn (Peg) Thomas.
Pat grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska where she graduated from high school in 1950. She then went into nurses training at Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She worked as a registered nurse for 25 years.
In 1954, she married Ralph G. Olson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They were married for 61 years until Ralph's death in March, 2015. They had 3 children and resided in Bloomington, Minnesota, Nashville, Tennessee and Grand Rapids, Minnesota before eventually moving to Red Wing in 1991.
Pat was a long-time member of the Presbyterian Church and has an Honorary Life Membership with the Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and knitting.
Pat is survived by her 3 children, daughter, Karen (Mehdi) Pirzadeh of Plano, Texas; son, Tom (Henresa) Olson of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; son, Jon (Teddy) Olson of Minnetonka, Minnesota; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 brothers, Don (Carol) Thomas and Larry (Judy) Thomas, nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and her parents.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church in Red Wing with Reverend Jennifer Miles-Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.
