Patricia Ann Meyers, 60, of Hastings, died Friday, July 5, 2013 at her home after a brief illness. She was born on September 9, 1952 in Red Wing to Joseph and Ellamina (Thompson) Jarmuz. She attended grade school at St. Joseph's Catholic School and the Villa Maria in Frontenac graduating from Red Wing Central High School in 1971. She worked for a few years at United Telephone Company in Hastings and then for over 25 years for Frontier Communications in Burnsville. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and walking her dog, Bella and babysitting her grand dog, Shelly.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Meyers of St. Paul and Dean (Jessica) Meyers of Hastings; three grandchildren, Hayden, Braylon and Isaac Meyers; one brother, Thomas (Konnie) Jarmuz of Red Wing; two sisters, Mary (Bob) Stripling of Corpus Christi, Tex. and Sue (Tom) Anderson of Canton, Mich.; fiancé, John McCauley of Hastings; her dog Bella, grand dog, Shelly; nieces and nephews, Chad Jacobsen of North Carolina, Joey Jacobsen of Cedar Park, Tex., William Stripling of Houston, Tex., Megan Rodriquez of Corpus Christi, Tex., Tommy Jarmuz of Red Wing, Katie Vober of New Germany, Minn., Amy Hoffman of Pittsburg, Penn. and Sara Anderson of Burbank, Cal.; great nieces and nephews, Anna, Maddie and Olivia Jacobsen, Hailee and Paige Jacobsen, Thomas and Jack Jacobsen, James Rodriquez, Liam and Evan Stripling; many special cousins and special friend Shirley Jarmuz. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing, Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 8 at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
