Patricia Gene Johnson, 80, Red Wing, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Red Wing Health Center. She was born July 29, 1929 in Red Wing, the daughter of Leonard and Genevieve (Brown) Pechacek. She was a Red Wing High School graduate. She married Alvin Johnson and they lived in Hager City. She worked at Red Wing Sewer Pipe Company, Josten's and Hiawatha National Bank. She has lived in Red Wing for the past 11 years. She was a member of Church of Saint Joseph. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, entertaining and her passion was cooking. She also loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include two children: Michael (Rhonda) Johnson and Brian (Tammy) Johnson, all of Hager City; four grandchildren, Becky & Stephanie Johnson, Kallie and Tyler Janckila; one sister, Arlene (Don) Sturtz of Scottsdale, AZ; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and special friend, Clayton Brinkman, who died on January 13, 2010.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of Saint Joseph with Father Thomas Kommers presiding. Burial will be in Trenton Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
