Patricia Venoy Johnson

Patricia Venoy Johnson, 84, of Hager City, died on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester. She was born on December 2, 1934 in Bowdle, South Dakota, to Albert and Mary (Wentz) Doerr. She grew up in Diamond Bluff, Wisconsin and graduated from Prescott High School. Patricia was united in marriage with Don E. Johnson on May 24, 1954 in Red Wing. They lived in Hager City and were blessed with five children. Don died in 1993. Pat worked at the Bay City Ballroom, Mary's Supper Club, and the Red Wing Shoe Company, where she worked until her retirement in 1999. She always recalled the wonderful retirement party that her family had for her. She loved puzzle books, crossword puzzles, and flowers. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and everyone was always welcome at her home.
She is survived by her four children, Bev Mattson of Red Wing, Roxane Johnson (Lorraine Haney) of St. Paul, Cindy (Gary) Carlson of Red Wing, and Don (Rhonda) Johnson of Hager City; five grandchildren, Stacy Mattson, Nick Carlson, Will Gongoll, Jessica (Adam) Stemen, and Christine Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Will "Lil Will," Hunter, and Archer; and siblings, Jim Doerr of Red Wing, Lavonne (Jim) Enevold of Bay City, and Lester (Laura) Doerr of Hager City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brenda Johnson; husband, Don; and one brother, Orville.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, with Reverend Amy Kosari officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Trenton Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Kidney Fund.
