Pamela Varnado

Pamela Jane Varnado, age 46, of Red Wing, died Saturday, September 22, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born on January 26, 1961, in Minneapolis, to Marvin and Eldora (Ertz) Pagel. Her family lived in Apple Valley where she attended grade school. In 1975, they moved to Cannon Falls where she graduated from high school in 1979. She worked as a nurse's aide in different facilities, for ProAct, and was currently employed at Capitol Safety. She married Tim Varnado on May 20, 2000, at Vasa Lutheran Church and they lived in Red Wing. She enjoyed horses, her cats and family gatherings.

Survivors include her husband, Tim; son, Brian (fiancée, Kara Cole) Varnado of Red Wing; parents, Marvin and Eldora Pagel of Cannon Falls; sisters, Karen (Herman) Ohmann of Northfield, Ellen Trandahl of Marshall, Angela (John) Hanson of Goodhue, and Wendy (Brian) Heins of Mazeppa; brother, Robert (special friend, Karen Blood) Pagel of New
Hope; one half-brother, Richard Wilder of Texas and many nieces, nephews, cousins and coworkers.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hiawatha Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Chuck Friemel officiating. Burial will be in Burnside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Lemmerhirt, Randy Lemmerhirt, John Hanson, Danny Miller, Mark Nelson and Brian Heins. Honorary pallbearer will be Tom Varnado. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and one hour prior to the time of services Wednesday at the church.
