Orpha Margaret Paulsen, 99, of Omaha, Nebraska and formerly of Red Wing, died on September 15, 2009 at the Millard Good Samaritan Society in Omaha. She was born on July 28, 1910, in Galena, Illinois to Sidney R. and Mabel (Groetsch) Kimball. She lived in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and then in Diamond Bluff where she attended school. She later attended school in Bay City through the 10th grade. She worked for eight years at the Bay City Bank. On October 24, 1935, she was married to Maurice Paulsen in Bay City at St. John's Lutheran Church. He died in December 1968. Following her husband's death, she worked at St. John's Hospital for eight years. She was member of Christ Episcopal Church and the St. Agnes Guild. For the past three years she has been a resident of the Millard Good Samaritan Society where she participated in all their activities.

Survivors include two sons, Maurice R. (Mary Kressen) Paulsen of Larimore, North Dakota and Dean (Joan) Paulsen of Temple, Texas; one daughter, Donna (Ray Bouton) Kellogg of Omaha; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother, Aaron (Shirley) Kimball of Red Wing and one sister, Arlene Kimball of Red Wing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Sidney Kimball; daughter-in-law, Anita Paulsen and one son-in-law, Kenneth Kellogg.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Christ Episcopal Church in Red Wing with Father Charles Uhlik officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
