Ok Cha Kuhns

Ok Cha Kuhns, 80, of Red Wing, died Sunday, December 8, 2024, at her home. She was born April 30, 1944, in Korea, to Sam Pong Yang and Ah Chuk Kim. She met her husband, Royce Kuhns while he was in the military and on July 3, 1971, they were married in Red Wing, Minnesota. She worked in housekeeping at St. John’s Hospital and later she and Royce owned and operated a baseball and sports card trading company, Cardboard Hero’s. While in law enforcement, Royce would often take Ok Cha with to the shooting range, which she greatly enjoyed and possessed excellent marksmanship. She also enjoyed golfing, knitting and more recently, playing cards at the Red Wing Senior Center Pier 55 or playing Skip-Bo with friends.

Ok Cha is survived by her children, grandchildren and a sister. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Royce in 2000. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will take place at Burnside Cemetery in Red Wing.
