Norma Severud

Norma Severud, 102, of Minnetonka and formerly of Red Wing, died Wednesday, October 14, at the Elder Homestead Assisted Living in Minnetonka. She was born on November 2, 1906, in Red Wing to William and Louise (Dablow) Nagel. She was married to Knut Severud. Over the years they resided in Moorhead, Marshall and Richfield. In 1983 she moved to Red Wing and in 2003 she moved to Elder Homestead in Minnetonka. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Wing.

Survivors include one son, Ken (Jan) Severud of Minneapolis; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three nieces, Arlene Earle, Verneil Gale and Beverly Swanson; and three nephews, Bill Seeley, Richard Nagel and Dewayne Seeley. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, David; four sisters, Myrtle Albrecht, Lillian Seeley, Lydia Marks and Mollie Berlin and two brothers, Ed Nagel and Fritz Nagel.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, October 19, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Wing with Reverend Todd Engel officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the church. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
