Nora L. Lehnhoff, age 92, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Hopitals - Rochester, St. Mary's Campus. Nora L. Tompkins was born to Frank and Elbra (Crandall) Tompkins on March 23, 1923 in Madison, Lake County, South Dakota.
She attended rural school near Chester S.D. In 1940 she married Everett Long (ended in divorce). In 1950 she married Donald Benson (ended in death). She later married Melvin Lehnhoff (ended in death). She worked at many different jobs including 20 years for Ravin Industry as a seamstress.
Nora is survived by two sons, Eugene (Barbara Schroeder) Long of Rochester, MN; and Jay (Margaret) Benson of Eagan MN; two stepsons, Lawrence (Sue) Lehnhoff of Perry, IA; and Kenneth (Lisa) Lehnhoff of Sioux Falls, SD; four stepdaughters, Frances Lehnhoff of Des Moines, IA; Pauline (Lewis) Moore of Aitkin, MN; Marilyn (Deke) Gliem of Perry, IA; and Elaine Mc Gilvary of Sioux Falls, SD; five grandsons; one granddaughter; six great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; five nieces; and 10 nephews. She had many step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, brother, three sisters, son, daughter, stepdaughter, and step-grandson.
