Nora Jane Collett

June 11, 1949 — January 10, 2016

Nora Jane Collett, 66, of Red Wing, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. She was born June 11, 1949 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Roger and Dorothy (Taylor) Olson. She graduated in 1967 from Plum City High School, married Fred Winkler and they had four children. They later divorced. For several years she worked at the ASCS Office in Ellsworth. She married Ron Collett on June 5, 1993 and they lived in Osseo, Wisconsin for six years, before moving to Red Wing in 1998. She worked locally as an administrative assistant and most recently was a secretary at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, boating, traveling, cooking & baking, including Norwegian goodies and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; children Amy (Steve) Fetzer of Maiden Rock, Jamie Winkler of Plum City, Andy (Chris) Winkler of Durand, Chad (Amy) Collett of Fond du Lac, Shaun (Gloria) Collett of San Diego and Stefanie (Justin ) Johnson of Osseo, Wisc.; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Dave Olson, Woodville; two half-brothers, Darin (Amy) Olson of Amery and Jeremy Olson of Oregon and her mother in law, Marion Collett of Plum City. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Doug; an infant sister, her father-in-law, Gail Collett; one sister-in-law, Audrey Olson and one niece, Sara Fedie.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Red Wing with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Plum City. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
