Neal Lawrence Agrey, 72, of Red Wing, died Tuesday at his home. He was born on April 14, 1934 in Fargo, North Dakota to John and Coyla (Evans) Agrey. He graduated in 1952 from Bismarck High School in Bismarck, North Dakota at then attended Junior College receiving a business degree. He served in the U S. Navy from 1953 until 1957 during the Korean Conflict. On March 1, 1957 he married Rita Finkbeiner in Yuma, Arizona. They lived in Rochester from 1958-1987 where he worked for Richmond Bootery as manager and owner. They then lived in Florida for four and half years and Wichita, Kansas for four and half years where he continued to work in the shoe business. In November 1995 they moved to Red Wing. He worked seven years at Treasure Island and four the past four years he has worked for Jule?s Cleaners in Red Wing. He is a member of United Lutheran Church where he was active in the Men in Mission and was a greeter. He was a past member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester, the Elks Club, where he served as a past Exalted Ruler, Sertoma 700 Club, serving as past president, American Legion and was involved with the Rochester Chamber of Commerce and committees at the YMCA in Rochester. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing Survivors include his wife Rita; one daughter, Karie (Steve) Forman of Topeka, Kansas; three grandchildren, Marshall and Kalsey Agrey and Disa Shore; his mother, Coyla Evans of Minneapolis; daughter-in-law, Julee Agrey of Ellsworth; one brother, John (Marge) Agrey of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; two sisters, his twin sister, Naola Thorson of Denver, Colorado and Karen Nelson of California along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Steve. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at United Lutheran Church with Rev. Randall Johnson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Grass Range, Montana. Visitation will for one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
