Nathalie Anne Nimerfro, 88, Bay City, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park. She was born December 13, 1921 in Hartland Township, Pierce County, WI, the daughter of Louis and Eleanor (Brown) Chicquette. She attended schools in Bay City and Ellsworth, graduating from Ellsworth High School in 1940. She married Richard Spriggle in 1940 and he died in 1946. She married Glen Nimerfro on October 25, 1952 in Tucson, AZ and they lived in Bay City. She worked at NSP and Munson Office Products. Glen died in 1997. She was a lifetime member of Bay City Methodist Church where she served as secretary, custodian, Sunday School teacher and Youth Leader. She will be remembered for her dedication and many years of service in community affairs in Bay City, including being a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she served as secretary for many years, a Cub Scout Den Mother and volunteering for the Pierce County Historical Society. She enjoyed following the Bay City Bombers baseball team, the Minnesota Twins and the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include two sons: Bruce (Pat) Spriggle of Cochrane, WI and Richard (Pat) Nimerfro of Loveland, CO; three grandchildren: William, Roberta and Bart Spriggle; two great-granddaughters: Samantha and Brandi Spriggle; two step- granddaughters: Laura and Rachel; one brother, Lou (Inez) Chicquette of Red Wing; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both husbands.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Steve Ottman officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew, Luke and Caleb Peterson, Jeffrey Chicquette and William and Bart Spriggle. Burial will be at a later date in Bay City. Visitation will be 5-7 p. m. Monday, October 25, 2010 and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society.
