Natalie Rose McElmury (45) left this Earth on Saturday, November 6 to join her soulmate, after a hospitalization in Rochester, MN. Mom passed surrounded by her children and parents. Natalie was born on February 23 to Clifford and Annette (Madsan) Reynolds of Lake City.
In high school, she met lifelong friends to share adventures with, and her life partner to share the biggest adventure with, Sean Michael McElmury. They were high school sweethearts and were married in 1996. The same year they had their first child, Chloe Bianca (24). They returned to Lake City and made their hometown into their home together. Michael Thomas (23) soon joined big sister and made a family of four. Natalie was so undeniably and unabashedly proud of her children.
In her personal life, she was incredibly artistic and creative—a true “Gypsy soul.” She loved painting, drawing, and writing. In our long-time home on Safari Way, she made her mark on many of the walls and rooms and was always available to help with an art project for school.
She had an infectious laugh and kind, caring nature. She will be remembered for her glamorous and fabulous style. We find comfort knowing Mom has been returned to her love, Sean, and hope they are on a beach together somewhere.
Natalie was preceded in death by her husband, Sean McElmury (46). She is survived by parents Clifford and Annette Reynolds; brother Nathan and Ann (Ringey) Reynolds; daughter Chloe; son Michael; aunt Nancy (Madsan) Rosado; aunt Susan (Madsan) and Gene Good; cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, November 11th from 5 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Burial will be in St Mary’s of The Lake Catholic Cemetery. Please come to share memories and your support, and please try not to wear black. Mom would have wanted to see some color and life. On-Line Condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
