Obituary: Naomi M. Andrist Funeral services for Naomi M. Andrist of Pine Island will be at 1:30pm on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Pine Island with Reverend Greg Strunk officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery. Naomi Mae Weidendorf, age 97, died on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at her residence. She was born on June 1, 1909 in Milton Township, Dodge County, MN to Andrew and Julie (Derby) Weidendorf. She attended school in Milton Township and was married to Fritz Andrist in 1927. The couple farmed in Milton Township for fourteen years, Dodge County, MN for four years then moved to New Haven Township in Olmsted County where they continued to farm. Fritz died on November 11, 1971 and Naomi remained on the farm. She was a member of the United Methodist Church where she served on several committees and boards. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, cooking and was very active with friends and neighbors. Naomi is survived by her son, Maurice Andrist; two daughters: Betty Andrist and Doris Archer, all of Pine Island, MN; four grandchildren: Wesley Archer, of Rochester, MN, Steven (Karen) Archer of Pine Island, MN, Scott Andrist, of Phoenix, AZ and Sheri Andrist, also of Phoenix, AZ; five great grandchildren. Her husband, one son, Robert Andrist, two brothers: Earl and Lee Weidendorf, and two sisters: Clara Loquai and Pearl Scheisser, preceded her in death. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Mahn Family Funeral Home Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
