Nancy Lee Juenemann, 88, of Red Wing, died Monday, March 17, 2025, on one of her favorite days, surrounded by family. She was born September 21, 1936, in Willmar, MN to Joseph and Bessie (Bliven) Bray and graduated from Olivia high school in 1955. She attended business school in Mankato and was hired to work in the office of the Standard Oil Company in Minneapolis. She married James Juenemann in October of 1962. They traveled for his job with NSP and lived several places before settling in Granite Falls where they lived before coming to Red Wing in 1971. Nancy worked as a bookkeeper at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for many years. Nancy enjoyed square-dancing as well as knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, a book club and a bridge club.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Beth (Jeff) Goertzen of Lake City and Dianne (Terry) Strege of Buffalo; nieces, Lynne Kells and Cathy Anderson both of Red Wing and granddaughters, Ashley (Jason) Melrose of Frontenac, Sara Gerken of Lake City and Rebecca (Joe) Tighe of Wacouta and great-grandchildren, Sean, Alyssa, Kylie, Graeson and Ellie.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003 and her parents.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20 at the Church of St. Joseph with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the River Bluff Humane Society or American Diabetes Association. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
