Myrtle Marie Chaney, 84 of Lake City, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at St. Elizabeth's Care Center in Wabasha. She was born June 14, 1928 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Clarence and Lydia (Manuel) Woody. She graduated high school in Lake City, Iowa and attended Iowa State Teacher's College. She spent her life loving and caring for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert; sons, Kenneth (Cheri) of Oak Center, David of Coon Rapids, Bruce of LaGrange, Texas; one daughter, Susan of Coon Rapids; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Clifford and Carl Woody.
