Myra Marie Foss

Myra Marie Foss, age 88, of Lake City, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Lake City Medical Center. She was born November 17, 1922 in Buffalo County, WI to Harry and Selma (Gueltzow) Hendricks. She grew up in Buffalo County graduating from Cochrane High School and then attending Winona Business College. After graduating from college she began working McConnan Company in Winona doing clerical work, later working at Minnesota & Ontario Lumber Co. in Minneapolis. She married Gordon E. Foss on April 27, 1946 in Cochrane, WI. In 1955 the couple moved to Lake City where she worked for DiAcro. Myra was a member of First Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school there. She was also involved with the Lake City Library Board and volunteered for the Telecare program. She enjoyed playing bridge and being with friends and family.

Myra is survived by her husband, Gordon E. Foss of Lake City; son, Bradley (Charlyne) Foss of Brooklyn Park; daughter, Nancy (Craig) Campbell of Sartell; three grandchildren, Brent (Melanie Carlson) Foss, Michelle (Jeff) Okerstrom, Christopher (Jes) Campbell; five great grandchildren, Jade, Brooklyn, Jaxon, Taylor, Kylah. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Katie Campbell.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at First Lutheran Church with Reverend Darren Paulson officiating. Burial will take place at Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
