Morris Lee Jones

Morris Lee Jones, 83, of Welch, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1941 to Albert and Lena (McVey) Jones in Osceola, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Ruth Sophi Jones in October of 1963 in Red Wing, Minnesota. 

Morris is survived by his sister, Ruby Kane of Colorado; his brother, David (Twyla) Jones; his sister-in-law, Margo Jones of Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Carol; his parents, Albert and Lena; his brothers, John “JW” Jones, Donald Jones, Clifford Jones, Milton “Gene” Jones and Leonard "Tom" Jones.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Red Wing Seventh Day Adventist Church in Red Wing, Minnesota with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will take place at Cross of Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Welch, Minnesota.
