Monruedee “Dee” Moreno, 72, of Rochester, passed away in the late hours of Wednesday, October 18th, 2023. She was born on June 2nd, 1951 in Buayai, Thailand to Nue and TongMuan Saeheng.
On June 19th, 1974, she married the love of her life, Juan Moreno, whom she met while he was stationed in Thailand, serving as a staff sergeant and security supervisor in the U.S. Air Force. Following their time in Thailand, they also resided in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Tucson, Arizona before eventually settling in Rochester.
Dee loved shopping, cooking, cheering on the San Francisco 49ers, taking trips to Vegas, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She especially loved their visits to the nursing home that she resided in since suffering a near-fatal brain aneurysm in 2012.
Dee leaves behind her daughter, Jem (Darin) So of Rochester, three grandchildren Samantha So of Madison, Wisconsin, Sarah So of Rochester, and Tyler So of Minneapolis, her sister Pontip Ubonpho and brother Prathip Saehang, both of Buayai, Thailand.
Dee is now reunited with her beloved husband and their little dog, Max. Dee was also preceded in death by her mother, father, sister Rai and brother Houk.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rochester East Health Services for providing great care to Dee over the years. A visitation will be held from 1-3pm on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Rochester Chapel.
