Monica Mae Rutz-Osskopp

Monica Rutz-Osskopp, age 60 of Lake City, died on June 25, 2012 at her home. Monica was born in Lake City on April 3, 1952 to Lyle and Arlene (Diepenbrock) Rutz. She grew up in Lake City and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. She then went on to Abbott Northwestern Nursing School and graduated in 1973 becoming a registered nurse. Monica lived in several towns before settling in Lake City. She worked at the Lake City Hospital for over 20 years until her recent failing health. Monica enjoyed needle work, cross stitching, working in the yard and garden, and helping with campfire.
Monica is survived by one son, Tom Osskopp of Lake City; one daughter, Jeniffer (Don) Holcomb of North Carolina; two granddaughters, Emma and Rachel Holcomb; mother, Arlene Rutz of Lake City; and one brother, Roger (Colleen) Rutz of Lake City.
Monica is preceded in death by her father, Lyle Rutz
