Miyoko Boguslawski, 89, of Rochester, and formerly of Cohasset, died Saturday December 15, 2018 at Madonna Meadows in Rochester, where she had been residing for the past few years. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Cohasset, and burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery there.
Miyoko Sakajo was born February 6, 1929 in Osaka, Japan. Raised there, she met her husband, Donald Boguslawski, at an airbase in Narita, Japan while he was serving in the U.S.A.F. The couple married on December 17, 1960 in Tokyo. The Boguslawskis settled in Cohasset, and Miyoko raised her four sons. They had good times and some hard times. Miyoko showed what it is to be gracious in good times and showed perseverance in hard times, and in both she always showed what true love is all about, sacrifice for the betterment of others without asking anything in return.
She is survived by her four sons, Leo (Betsy) Boguslawski of Farmington, MN; Kevin Boguslawski of Minneapolis, MN; Donavon (Jean) Boguslawski of Rochester, MN; Marvin Boguslawski of Greensboro, NC; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2011.
