Mildred Reitman

Mildred Reitman, 97, of Red Wing, died Monday at Fairview Seminary Home in Red Wing. She was born on August 22, 1911 in Hay Creek to Henry and Mary (Holst) Reitman. She was baptized by Reverend J. C. Meyer and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hay Creek April 5, 1925. She attended school in Hay Creek and in 1936 moved to Red Wing. She worked at LaGrange Shoe Factory for 20 years, at Red Wing Laundry for 15 years and she also worked at St. John's Hospital. She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hay Creek.


Survivors include friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.


There will a time of remembrance, during the All Saints Festival, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, November 2, 2008, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hay Creek with Rev. Lowell Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the church. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
