Mildred Katherine McKinley Anderson, 84, Red Wing,MN died Thursday at Red Wing Health Center. She was born January 21, 1923 in Bombay, Minn, the daughter of Knute and Selma (Aslakson) Enerson. She was baptized February 11, 1923 and confirmed November 1, 1936 at Minneola Lutheran Church. She attended Husevald School in the Bombay Township area through the 8th grade. She married Herbert H. McKinley on June 30, 1945 and they lived in Red Wing. She worked as a nurses' aide at the City Hospital, St. John's Hospital and Haven Homes for many years and she did home health aide work for Goodhue and Becker Counties. She also did volunteer work at the VA Hospital in Fargo, ND and later at the Young Adults Association in Red Wing. Herbert died May 26, 1970. She later married Glendale Anderson March 3, 1972 and they moved to Frazee, MN. He died August 24, 1993 and she then moved back to Red Wing. She was a member of United Lutheran Church, the Gold Star Wives of America Inc., North Central Chapter; a Charter Life member of Disabled American Vets, Lakeland Chapter 31 Auxiliary; a Life Member of V. F. W. Auxiliary 1218, Red Wing; the American Legion Auxiliary 54, Red Wing; Lauris Norstad Sons of Norway Lodge 558; the Goodhue County Historical Society; the Phantom's Car Club and Red Wing Area Seniors. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, embroidery, gardening, making stuffed animals and spending time with grandchildren.

Survivors include three children: Gary (Delayne) McKinley of Minnesota Lake, Arlen (Lori) McKinley of Red Wing and Shirley (David) Knudson of Red Wing; daughter-in-law, Jackie McKinley of Red Wing; seventeen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; six step-children and thirteen step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands; two sons, Harold and Alan McKinley; one daughter, Kathleen McGrady; one brother, Olaf Enerson and two sisters, Marian Enerson and Stella Hagen.

Funeral will be 11 a. m. Saturday at United Lutheran Church with Reverend Clark Cary officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Valley Cemetery in Cannon Falls. Pallbearers will be William and Richard McKinley, Jay Lampman, Isaac Caranza, Mike Hemphill, Tony Armour, Chris Treague, Luke Marshall, Garrett Krosschell and Joe Garcia. Visitation will be 4-7 p. m Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and on Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
