Michael Orr, age 53, of Mazeppa, formerly of Rochester, died Friday (Nov. 15, 2013) as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Skagit County, Washington.
Michael Todd Orr was born Oct. 12, 1960 in Grand Forks, ND to Jerry and Carol (Brevik) Orr. He moved to Rochester in 1968 and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1978. He later attended Rochester Community and Technical College. Mike worked for Rochester Silo Company and was a painter for many years. He painted in the Rochester area and was a painter at shipyards in Washington State over the years. He married Melissa Adreon and they were later divorced. He married Shelly Koperski and they were later divorced. Mike lived in Zumbro Falls from 2001 to 2010. He was visiting in Washington at the time of his death. Mike loved to tell stories and was a kind hearted man to just about everyone. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Melissa) Adreon of Dodge Center; and Nicholas Orr of Rochester; two daughters, Patti (Jon) Puffer of Coon Rapids, MN, and Jamie Waltz of Rochester; his father, Jerry Orr (Marsha) of Rochester; twelve grandchildren; and two sisters, Jeri Liddy (Dale Lorentzen), and Kelly (Donald) Lorentzen, both of Rochester. He was preceded in death by two sons, Lance and Jeffrey, his mother, Carol, and his brother Randy.
