Michael Ray Nash, 70, of Red Wing died Friday, June 29, 2018 at his home. He was born August 24, 1947 in Red Wing to Luke and Anna (Westerberg) Nash and attended schools in Red Wing. He worked at Corner Grocery, Durkee-Atwood and for 35 years at Red Wing Shoe Co. before retiring February 13, 2008. He was united in marriage to Mary Jackson on June 1, 1968. He was a member of the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post #54 and the Bearing Burner Car Club. He enjoyed cooking, collecting pocket knives and Red Wing Pottery, antiquing, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Amy Nash of Red Wing and Ann (Curt) Wood of Rosemount; three grandchildren, Kori (Jacob) Diercks, Abby (Duey) Halverson, and Tanner Halverson; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Gage, and Jackson; one brother, Jim (Kay) Nash of Red Wing; one sister, Linda (Dick) Brunkhorst of Red Wing and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Larry, Leonard, Dale, and Luke Nash and six sisters, Lila Plote, Mae Johnson, Delores Roth, Ardis Swisher, Gloria Nash, and Janet Nash.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be at Burnside Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service.
