Michael "Mike" Robert McGarvey

Michael "Mike" Robert McGarvey, 57, of Ellsworth, formerly of Rice Lake, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Spooner Health in Spooner, Wisconsin. Mike was born May 4, 1967 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was employed by County Materials Corporation for the past 24 years. Mike loved the outdoors, bowhunting, fishing and just spending time in the North Woods with friends and family.

Mike is survived by his significant other, Pat Kirchner Pace; children, Alyssa, Amanda, Samantha, and Brenden; and by his sister, Sue McGarvey. He was also survived by Pat’s family who quickly became his own: Pat’s mom, Ruby Kirchner; best friends, Greg (Barb) Kirchner, Doug (JoAnn) Kirchner, Mike (Steph) Kirchner, Jim (Dedra) Kirchner, Tom (Jody) Kirchner, Carolyn Kirchner, Mark (Cheryl) Engnes, and his best little buddy, Wyatt Kirchner; and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Mary McGarvey; Pat’s sister, Mary; and Pat’s brother, Ron.

Mike will be remembered for his quick wit and his trademark statement: “I know a guy”. He was a hard worker and was always willing to help everyone he could. Mike will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Ellsworth Chapel.
