Michael Robert Koball

Michael Robert Koball, 63, passed away Tuesday March 9, 2021 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael was born August 31, 1957 to Robert and Marleen Koball. He graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1976. On September 8, 1979 he married Barbara Tiedemann at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mazeppa, Minnesota. Michael worked at K-Mart, DFA, Seneca Foods, and Walmart. He took pride in his strong work ethic. He enjoyed taking his family on yearly trips to South Dakota, and also watching the Twins, wrestling, and the Vikings on TV. He was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island.

Survivors include his wife Barbara of Pine Island; daughter Alicia (Zlatan) of Ames, Iowa; grandchildren Luka and Mia of Ames, Iowa; brother Daniel (Cathy) of Grand Meadow, sister Anne (Eric) Pederson of Buffalo, Minnesota; brother-in-law Kenneth of Dodge Center; and sister-in-law Nancy of La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his daughters Tiffany and Bridget Koball; his parents Robert and Marleen; his parents-in-law Walter and Joan Tiedemann; and brother-in-law Russell Tiedemann.

A memorial service will be held Monday March 15th at 1:00 PM at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island. The Rev. Chris Miller will officiate. Burial of the urn will follow at Pine Island Cemetery.
