Michael Lee Jennings, age 45, of Minneapolis, formerly of Red Wing, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Walker Methodist Care Center. He was born on February 6, 1972 to Ron and Laurel "Lolly" (Myhrer) Jennings in Red Wing, Minn. In 1990, he graduated from Red Wing Central High School. While in high school he worked for Hardee's and then went on to work at Wells Fargo where he worked as a mortgage underwriter and trainer. Eventually his work and his life lead him to Minneapolis, where he made his home. Michael loved music, crafts, and especially Sci-Fi. He and his partner had an impressive collection of Star Trek and Star Wars memorabilia. Michael also loved to sing - most recently he was able to sing in church with his Aunt Rosie. He loved his family, many aunts, nieces and nephews, and his friends were also a very important aspect in his life.
He is survived by his father, Ron Jennings of Cottage Grove; sisters, Melody (Mike) McDonnell of Red Wing, Megan Jennings of Cottage Grove, and Mollie (Joseph) Bilderback of Sioux Falls; brother, Matthew (Angie) Jennings of Farmington; many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews; many friends; and Zan, his cat.
He is preceded in death by his partner of many years, Dan Larsen; his mother, Laurel Jennings; and his step mother, Patty.
A visitation will be Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. with memory sharing at 2 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
