Michael S. Holmes age 63 of Highlands Ranch, CO formerly of Lake City passed away August 12, 2015 at Sky Ridge Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Michael was born May 4, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN to William & Eva (Skalko) Holmes. Michael grew up in Minneapolis. Moved from Morgan to Lake City where he graduated from Lincoln High School.
Michael lived in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, the Zumbro Valley area & the small community of Willerine before moving out to Colorado.
He is survived by a son, Samuel Holmes, partner Joann Jungmann, two brothers; Guy (Kay) of Virginia, MN, Bill (Jean) of Lake City, MN; one sister; Kellie (Norb) Stachowiak of Eagan, MN. He was preceded in death by his daughter; Sarah Holmes, mother, Eva Holmes and father, William Holmes.
A Funeral service will be held Tuesday August 18th at 11:00 am at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Lake City with Father Larry Green officiating. Burial will be in Frontenac Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel are handling the arrangements.
