Michael O. Hauschildt, 65, of Bay City died Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. He was born December 29, 1946 in Red Wing, the son of Harry and Sally (Turnbell) Hauschildt. He grew up and attended school in Red Wing, where he graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1965. After graduation he was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge he returned to Red Wing. He was united in marriage to Joyce Miller in October 1969. They later divorced. On July 11, 1982, he married Pearl Falkner in Red Wing. He worked forty years for Red Wing Shoe until his retirement due to medical reasons in 2005. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, car racing, reading, watching football, and collecting car banks. Most of all, Mike enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Michael is survived by his wife, Pearl of Bay City; children, Amy (Matt) Childs of Red Wing, Chad (Marlo) Hauschildt of Hager City, Mike Hauschildt of Bay City, Cody (Keisha) Hauschildt of Bay City; seven grandchildren, Bailey, Trystan, Chase, Shelby, Caleb, Trinity and Colter; siblings, John (Judy) Hauschildt of Bay City and Kathy (Jim) Schmidt of Hager City and many friends and family. Michael is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
