Merle L. Juers age 76 of Goodhue died Friday, July 20, 2007 at his home.
Merle was born September 29, 1930 in Mount Pleasant Township in Wabasha County to Emanuel & Meta (Boettcher) Juers. He attended St. Peter's Belvidere School and also the University Of Minnesota School Of Agriculture. He entered the Army in 1952 and served during the Korean War, he was discharged in 1953. He farmed and lived in Belvidere Township, in Goodhue County all his life. He retired from farming in 1995. He was a member of St. Peter's Belvidere Lutheran Church, Bellchester American Legion Post, and the Goodhue Lions Club.
He is survived by one brother, Kenneth Juers of Zumbro Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, three nephews and one niece.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Belvidere Lutheran Church with Rev. Bruce Stam Officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
