Melroy G. Holst age 77 of Goodhue passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Rochester.
Melroy was born September 5, 1932 in Feathersone Township, to A. Alfred & Pearl (Thumann) Holst. He grew up and farmed in the Goodhue area most of his life. He also was a seed corn dealer for Northrup King. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Goodhue and the Goodhue Lions Club. Melroy loved his cats and his dog Brandi.
He is survived by Jason & Amanda Holst and children Paige, Alivia, Payton, Austin of Goodhue, Arlo & JulieAnn Kehren of Arizona, Gina (Steven) Weihrach, and Jason Kehren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Gloria Barghusen.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Goodhue with the Rev. Andy Krause officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Lake City. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one Hour before the service at the church. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
