Melanie "Muxie" Kaiser

Melanie "Muxie" Tracy Kaiser (Itoka Ga Tate Win - South Wind Woman) 52, of Farmington, died July 14, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 4, 1964 in Red Wing to Howard and Carol (Dow) Taylor. She grew up on Prairie Island and attended Red Wing Central High School. After school she worked at Treasure Island. She married Michael Kaiser and raised her family in Farmington. Mel enjoyed cooking, bingo, listening to her CDs and Patrick Swayze movies. She loved her home and especially loved taking care of her grandson, Royce and baby nephew Jon.
She is survived by her mother, Carol Taylor; children, Mallory and Robert Kaiser; grandson Royce; siblings, Lucy (Sheila) Taylor, Kerre (Donald) Grimes, Elizabeth (Patrick) Bear Heels, Howard Jr. (Cheryl) Taylor and Kelly (Holly) Taylor; brother-in-law, Gary Mollick; many nieces and nephew, 10 great nephews, other family and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael; father, Howard Sr.; sisters, Sherre and Terre; brother, Robert; both maternal and paternal grandparents; as well as many uncles and aunts.
