Maybin Albert Timm, 94, of Zumbrota, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2006 at Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with the Rev. Wayne D. Schoch officiating. Burial will be in Pine Island Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Maybin's six grandsons, Michael II, Mathew, David, John, Paul and Mark Timm. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.Maybin was born on March 16, 1912 in Shields Township, Wisconsin to Ludwig and Linda (nee Schmudlach) Timm. At the age of two, Maybin and his family moved to the Oronoco area, where he attended country schools. On December 25, 1941 Maybin married Bertha Maxon in Oronoco. The couple farmed in rural Mazeppa for thirty years. Maybin also worked at the Zumco factory in Zumbrota. When he retired at the age of 75, the couple moved into Zumbrota. Maybin was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening and planting roses, playing cards and woodworking. Maybin is survived by his wife, Bertha of Zumbrota; son, Mike (Barb) Timm of Rochester; and six grandsons, Michael Timm II, Mathew Timm, David Timm, John Timm, Paul Timm and Mark Timm. He was preceded in death by two sisters and nine brothers. Arrangements are with Mahn Family Funeral Home-Larson Chapel, Zumbrota.
