Maxine (Ray) Graw, 92, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Potters Ridge where she had been a resident for the last year. She was born on October 12, 1918, in Cannon Falls, the daughter of Roy and Sigrid (Knutson) Ray. She moved to Red Wing at age nine. She graduated from Red Wing Central High class of 1936. Maxine was married to Al Schultz, they later divorced, and later married Dick Graw and later divorced. She worked for Marriott Hotel Corporation in Chicago and Santa Clara, CA as head desk clerk. She often traveled to help open new hotels and train personnel. She retired in 1984 and returned to Red Wing. She enjoyed raising birds and her dog Smooch. She called herself a couch potato who enjoyed watching any sport on TV, her favorite was the Minnesota Twins. She was also an avid bridge player.
She is survived by son Brad (Jane) Schultz; sister-in-law Pat Ray; grandchildren Patrick Schultz, Laura Burns and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gordon and Wallace Ray.
Services will be Thursday, April 7 at Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at 11 a.m. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel for a procession to the cemetery for the graveside service. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
