Mary Elaine Wilson, 63, Red Wing, died Sunday of cancer at Fairview Seminary Home. She was born December 17, 1944 in Pipestone, Minnesota, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Gannon) Wilson. She married Ronald Freier and they later divorced. She worked for the dental office of Drs. Johnson and Hewitt for 33years and part-time at the Hush Puppy Shoe Store for 4 years. She enjoyed crafts and reading and was a member of the Fairview Hospital Auxiliary as a home crafter.
Survivors include two brothers, Chuck (Dee) Wilson of Red Wing and William R. Wilson of Pipestone; three nephews, Chris (Jody) Wilson of Red Wing, Randy (Linda) Wilson of Lake City and Tom (Deb) Gannon of Cedar Grove, Wisconsin; two nieces, Kim Wilson of Goodhue and Deb (Steve) Schmuck of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Warren Gannon and Gerald and Dick Wilson.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Dar Reeck officiating. Burial will be at St. Leo's Cemetery in Pipestone. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to Fairview Red Wing Area Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
