Mary E. Voeltz

Mary E. Voeltz age 60, of Zumbrota died on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. The funeral service will be on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota with Pastor Kitty Burbo officiating. Burial will be in Mazeppa Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 1, 2012 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM and on Monday one hour prior to the service.
Mary Ellen Gullickson was born on July 26, 1951 in Zumbrota, MN to Lester A. and Delores J. (nee Noser) Gullickson. She grew up in the Mazeppa/Pine Island area and graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1970. On September 2, 1972 she married Wesley Voeltz in Mazeppa. They made their home in Zumbrota and Mary worked for Head Start, REM - helping disabled clients in Zumbrota and Wanamingo and was a foster parent for twelve years. Mary enjoyed shopping, talking on the phone, visiting with family and friends and collecting dolls and purses. She was a member of the American Legion Post #588 Auxiliary in Mazeppa.
Mary is survived by her husband, Wes; three sons, Michael (Shelley) Voeltz of Mazeppa, Shawn Voeltz of Dodge Center and Brian Voeltz of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Brittany (Chad) Colglazier, Nicole Voeltz, Kelsey Voeltz, Brenna Voeltz and Weston Voeltz; one great granddaughter, Brooklyn Voeltz; three brothers, Gary (Sharon) Gullickson of Byron, Jerry (Kim) Gullickson of Oronoco and Terry (Jane) Gullickson of Mazeppa and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Gullickson.
