Mary Maxeen Vieths

Mary Maxeen Vieths, 65, of St. Paul, formerly of Hager City, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Fairview Seminary Home in Red Wing. She was born June 6, 1945 in Red Wing, to Robert and Maxeen (Magnussen) Vieths. In 1963 she graduated from Red Wing Central High School and was a 1964 graduate of the Oliver Thein School of Cosmetology. Mary was very active in her church and had taught religion at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mendota for 20 years and was known for her concern for those less fortunate.

She is survived by her brother, John Vieths of Hager City, her godmother, Kay Dahl of Red Wing and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at United Lutheran Church with Reverend Steve Timm officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for 2 hours prior to the service at the church. Memorials preferred to the local food shelf or Fairview Red Wing Hospice.
