Mary Lee Skordahl

Mary Lee Skordahl, 56, of Bay City, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at her home. She was born on June 21, 1952, in Glenwood City, Wisconsin and was adopted by Woodrow and Maybelle Blomstrom in 1953. She attended Maiden Rock and Ellsworth Schools. She lived in Maiden Rock for 20 years, Plum City for one year and resided in Bay City since 1974. She married Allen Skordahl on August 25,1972, in Red Wing. Since 1991, she was employed by Lil'Genie Mart, now Handy Mart, in Bay City, retiring in September 2008. She enjoyed horseback riding and watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.

Survivors include her husband Allen; three girls Linda (Tim) Hohmann of Ellsworth, Susan Frandrup of Bay City and Alicia (Cory) Leiseth of Red Wing; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Charles Blomstrom, Clyde Banks, Jr., Andrew Hardy and Myron Hardy; three sisters, Barbara Mann, Teresa Helton and Mary Reyes. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Lynne Rigg officiating. Burial will be Monday at 3:30 p.m. in Bay City Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Skordahl. Sr., Tejay Skordahl, Nicholas Frandrup, Cory Frandrup, Cassandra Frandrup, Levi Blomstrom, Spencer Leiseth, Austin Fritz, Mackinzie Skordahl, Kayla Skordahl, Thomas Skordahl, Jr., Sydney Skordahl, Carter Skordahl, Lillian O'Brien, Hailie Frandrup and Crystal Fritz. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
