Mary Ellen Jacob

Mary Ellen was a graduate of Lake City High School in 1941 and Winona State Teacher?s College in 1945. After Graduating from collage she taught in Iowa, Florida, Minnesota and thirty years for the Department of Defense in eleven countries. Miss Jacob served as Director of St. Mark?s Episcopal Church Alter Guild, she also was past president of St. Mark?s Episcopal Church Women, and a past president of the Lake City Senior Citizen Organization. She is survived by a brother, William (Ila) Jacob of Lake City; a sister-in law, Lucy Jacob of Lake City; two nephews and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Fred Jacob, and a sister, Kathryn Boss. A Memorial service will be held Saturday November 18, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark?s Episcopal Church in Lake City, with Father Larry Green officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery.
