ROCHESTER The funeral for Mary E. Hahn will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jay Rowland officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hahn, 83, of Rochester, died Friday (Nov. 27, 2009) at Sunrise Cottages in Rochester.
Mary Elizabeth Turner was born Sept. 18, 1926 in Caledonia, MN to Claude and Olive (Milne) Turner. She was raised in Fillmore, MN, and graduated from Canton High School. She then attended Business College in Winona, MN for one year. On April 15, 1948 she married N. Dale Hahn in Canton. The couple farmed near Preston, MN before moving to Rochester in 1956. Mary worked at Schmidt Printing before continuing her career as a secretary at Marigold Dairy for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who helped raise two of her great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, and cared for her husband and their home. Mr. Hahn died in 2000. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Fran Drexler of Rochester, and Margaret Knudsen of Park Rapids, MN; a granddaughter, Angel Yennie of Rochester; a grandson, Joey (Nicole) Hahn of Zumbrota; five great grandchildren, Ashley Copley, Cody Rassman, and Sophia, Lauren, and Hayley Hahn; a son in law Dwane Yennie; and a cousin, Anita Casterton. Two sons, Rodney, and Roger Hahn, a daughter Lois Yennie; and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call one hour before the service Tuesday at the Church.
Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church.
