ROCHESTER The funeral for Mary Ann Cross will be Monday (Mar. 2, 2009) at Mahn Family Funeral Home Rochester Chapel with Rev.'s Brian Whitehead and Don McMillon of Rochester Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery.
Mrs. Cross, 73, of Rochester, died Thursday (Feb. 26, 2009) at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.
Mary Ann McCracken was born Sept. 2, 1935 in Shamrock, TX. She grew up and attended Southside School in Elmer, OK. She married Travis "TV" Cross in Altus, OK where she was a longtime resident. She moved to Hudson, WI in 1990 and moved to Rochester in 2007. She was a member of the Rochester Church of Christ, and was a volunteer at the House of Compassion. She enjoyed, travelling, old Westerns, and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, of Faribault, MN; three daughters, Melba (Edward) Whittstock of Wisconsin; Teri (Jim) Manhart of South Dakota; and Vonita "Sam" (Patrick) VanZant of Flower Mound, TX; two sons, Don (Alicia) of Rosemount, MN; and Daniel of Rochester, fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; a sister, Lemita "Jane" (Keith) Thurmond of Elmer, OK; and three brothers, Alfred "Ronnie" (Glenda) McCracken of Gurley, AL; Wayland (Jan) Bonds of Moore, OK; and Donald (Cathy) Bonds of New Castle, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Nolda (Sechrist) McCracken.
Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Mahn Family Funeral Home Rochester Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the House of Compassion.
